It is made for frost and light ice. On a thick sheet, run the defroster for a few minutes first, then use the scraper.

The disc is plastic, not metal. Brush off grit and stones first, as with any scraper.

This item is not worth the money . No manual to explain operation, only on very thin ice does is work with a lot of effort. The charging cable gets very hot during the charging. I would have given it no stars if that was a option.
The Electric Snow Scraper DOES NOT have the power to remove even light frost. The unit is charged via USB port and is terribly under powered. An electric toothbrush would do a better job.Recommend “Scraper-Cone” at a fraction of the price!
